are all colour coded. This huge forest has views as far as the Flyde Coast

the children to find.

Mrs Dowsons Farm Park

A fantastic family-run farm with children play areas and activities to include everyone. Feed the cows, stroke the animals and enjoy homemade ice cream in the cafe afterwards. At Halloween, they do a scare fest and pumpkin patch which attracts many visitors and in Spring you can lamb the lambs. A fantastic day out for the whole family!

Enjoy a day full of rides and finish it off with a lovely meal either in the park or just outside, with a fantastic view of the beach. For the little ones, there is a Nickelodeon land with popular characters from children channels that they love.

Morecambe offers you the chance to enjoy the many pleasures of the seaside, whether it’s flying kites, building sandcastles or enjoying the views across the bay. Stroll along Morecambe’s award winning promenade with an ice cream or have fun seeing it on two wheels, before grabbing a picnic and heading on down to the beach for a spot of sandcastle making and sunbathing.

Brockholes is a nature reserve near Preston, Lancashire, just off Junction 31 of the M6 motorway. Situated in the flood-plain of the river Ribble, it has the UK's first floating visitor village. Brockholes was previously a major quarry extraction site. It has been regenerated as a mosaic of key habitats such as pools, reedbeds and woodland.

Blackpool Zoo

What sets Blackpool Zoo apart from other zoos? Close encounters with animals, excellent facilities for their less able visitors and happy, friendly staff who want to make your visit fun!  The zoo stands out in the resort, too, as being an attraction the whole family can visit together. They also have the only gorillas in the north-west and one of the best sea lion displays in the UK.

At Shreyas Cottages we have partnered with Visit Lancashire which provides daily updated information about what there what events are on and things to do in the local area at different time periods. One of our personal recommendations from our own team here would be the Barton Grange flower show held in early August every year. A lot of the plants that you will see at our complex are sourced from here as we continually pride on promoting green tourism by helping local businesses. Please see below a link which will provide further details on current events.
